Expand Your Clinical Identity

Support to explore your potential

The Center for Connection, Healing and Change was created as a soulful, creative and collaborative space for like-minded professionals to thrive in their work.

Our treatment philosophy is underpinned by our belief in the power of secure connection and so we align with models that focus on attachment, family systems, trauma, emotion regulation, and somatic psychotherapy. We interweave evidence-based models and neuroscience with the timeless wisdom of the body to offer truly holistic care to our clients. We recently added trauma-informed bodywork in an effort to expand the way we welcome the body into the healing process.

We are actively recruiting for Licensed Therapists who deeply resonate with our treatment philosophy, both personally and professionally.  We provide a wide range of opportunities to deepen and expand your clinical skills, develop your specialties, and lean into the clients you are passionate about working with.

Our practice also welcomes your humanity, strengths, and vulnerabilities. We trust that by focusing on the co-creation of security and safety we are providing the optimal conditions for growth, potential, vulnerability, creativity, risk, joy, and becoming. We warmly invite connections with those souls who are a good fit for our culture and who are looking for a place that values the investment you have already made in your clinical skills, identity, and personal growth.

We look forward to learning more about who you are, how you work, what you are passionate about, and what you are looking for from your next clinical home.

A place to call home

Our Investment In You

Take your clinical practice to the next level

A unique offering of our practice is the utilization of the Person of The Therapist Training (POTT) Model which views the therapeutic relationship as fundamentally a person-to-person human encounter.

The more the therapist has access to self and makes purposeful and active use of who they are, the more effective, deep, and meaningful the work can be, with and for, the client.

We draw from the wisdom of this model and underpin it with the science of attachment to actively invite an exploration of your own attachment experiences and the way these may have shaped your personhood and maps for connection.

This allows our Licensed Therapists to deepen their existing understanding of their strengths, wounds, resourcefulness, and protections and how these may play out with clients, professional relationships, and loved ones.

We support you to use this awareness to be attuned to your clients, welcome your own humanity into the therapeutic process, and be of authentic and congruent service to your clients. We support you to practice with an appropriate degree of differentiation, professionalism, quality clinical service, and self-care in the sacred work you do.

As a Licensed Therapist you have already curated your clinical identity, skills, and strengths but may not have had the support, space, or opportunity to fully utilize them and reach your highest potential. We invest heavily in the ongoing training and specialization of our Licensed Therapists because we trust that deepening the work you love, as an expression of your personhood, is where the transformative power of therapy abounds.

In addition to external training, we also provide ongoing in-house model-specific consultation, supervision, and training so that you can continue to scaffold your internal working knowledge, build your own identity, and keep coming back home to the model as it fits with the needs of your clients.

We are a systemic practice so our therapists work with couples and/or families as well as individual clients. If you are looking to expand your clinical practice to include relational work, we are happy to provide full training, consultation, and support for you to add these skills to your existing toolbox.

We welcome those who are looking to make the shift to private practice or are looking for a new community to call home.  We provide full training in the art of being successful in private practice, how to actively manage your caseload, improve retention rates, and maintain the income you choose.

To apply for a position as a Licensed Therapist please submit a cover letter sharing your personal treatment philosophy, the models you resonate with, your ideal clients and presenting concerns, an area of personal growth you are currently working on, and your employment needs. Please include a copy of your resume and send to Elayne Smith, LMFT and Founder at elaynesmith@thecenterforconnection.com

Help us get a feel for who you are and how you think you can add to our staff team. Please note we do not consider applications where this information has not been provided.
